Discover what drives the decisions that matter.
A research-driven approach to uncovering the motivations, meanings, and decision-making behind people's choices.
We provide clarity about how people choose, what they choose, and the messaging that will land with them.
We help you understand what matters to your audience and translate that into positioning, messaging, and communications.
Organizations often don't know why people don't respond to their messaging, why prospects don't act, why competitors seem to win, or why their efforts aren't producing the results they expect.
Traditional research can leave organizations with data but little direction. Creative agencies can be asked to develop campaigns before the underlying audience insight has been fully established.
Organizations are drowning in dashboards and transactional data, yet they often have no clear understanding of why people feel detached from their offering.
We uncover the obscured motivations for why people choose and act through experience mapping and decision-making analysis in our deep qualitative methodology.
We translate insights into core narrative, brand positioning, and competitive differentiation so that creative can be updated quickly and easily.
We work with marketing and creative teams to bring the narrative to life and connect with your audience.
Before you commit your marketing budget to another campaign you're not sure is going to work, let's find out if your assumptions about the people you're trying to reach are correct.
In marketing and communications, small differences can have a major impact. When you're launching a major campaign or investing heavily in advertising, you need to understand what actually motivates the people you're trying to reach. What matters to them? What moves them? What makes them act?
Traditional research can provide useful information, but it can also leave important questions unanswered. Surveys and focus groups largely tell us what people say about their decisions. But what people say doesn't always explain what they actually do, or why they do it.
We take a different approach.
We use rigorous qualitative research to understand decisions at the level of lived experience. Through in-depth interviews and analysis, we look beyond stated preferences to uncover the meanings, motivations, and experiences that shape how people perceive, choose, and act.
We also recognize that human decisions don't happen in isolation. People's choices are shaped by culture, social influence, technology, institutions, brands, and the environments in which they make decisions. Our approach looks for the patterns and connections that emerge from those experiences rather than assuming behaviour can always be explained by a single cause.
Research is only useful if it helps you make better decisions.
Because we bring direct experience in marketing and communications, we don't simply hand you a research report and leave you to figure out what to do with it. We translate what we learn into practical recommendations for positioning, messaging and strategy. Then, where appropriate, we work with your team and creative partners to put those insights into practice.
The result is a clearer understanding of the people who matter to your organization, why they make the decisions they do, and what you can do differently as a result.
A focused research engagement designed to uncover what really drives the decisions that matter to your organization.
We conduct a series of in-depth interviews with the people you're trying to reach, identify the motivations and meanings underlying their decisions, and translate those insights into actionable positioning and messaging.
The result: a clear picture of what matters to your audience, and what your organization should do differently as a result.
